Windows 10 – An Overview with its Upgraded Features

In July 2015, Microsoft had released its most awaiting Operating system Windows 10, and millions of peoples are using it. Windows 10 launched with a bunch of new features like Cortana, Edge web browser, Free to upgrade and much more. In this post we are heading to discuss about the updated and added features of Windows 10.

The Command Prompt got more than Ctrl+V

In Windows 10 user can use Ctrl+v to paste anything inside command prompt. However there's a lot more than Ctrl+v, just right click on the title bar of command window and select properties then go for the Experimental tab. There are several other features like ability to transparency, text wrap on resize and much more.

Start menu returns with combination of Win 7 & Win 8

Microsoft added the start button in windows 10 which includes the style of Windows 7 start menu and windows 8 tile menu. Click on Start button at bottom left and it displays two panels side by side. On the top of the start menu users get a power button also with some options such as Hibernate, Standby and Shutdown.

Cortana – A voice controlled digital assistance

Microsoft's introduced a new personal assistant i.e. Cortana, make easier to interact with device without lifting a finger. It helps you to find something on PC, manage calendar for you, gives you reminders.

Project Spartan Browser or Edge Browser

Now the time to forget the Internet Explorer, because it is replaced by Edge browser in Windows 10. Microsoft added new features includes PDF support, easy reading mode for long articles. Edge browser also supports Cortana which helps you to make easier to find anything on the web.

Improved Multitasking with Multiple Desktops

This feature provides the facility to use the multiple desktop as a new windows without any other desktop. User can use multiple screens such as one desktop run with Edge browser and media player another one can run with MS word and MS excel. This facility provides a new and fresh screen and for each desktops.

• Windows Key-Right-Up(Moves app to top right quadrant)
• Windows Key-Ctrl-Left or Right (virtual desktop)
• Windows Key-Ctrl-D (new virtual desktop)
• Windows Key-Ctrl-C (Cortana listening)
• Windows Key-S (Daily Glance for weather, news, sports)
• Windows Key-Ctrl-F4 (closes virtual desktop)
• Windows Key-Up and Down (snap apps to top or bottom of screen or maximizes)

Issues with Windows 10:

Millions of users switch to windows 10 when it launched for customers as it is a free upgrade.
